This class will cover the use of alum mordants in dyeing. Alum mordants have been used for thousands of years but should be used with care around children and pets. We will cover the basics of fabric preparation, scouring, mordanting, dye creation and dyeing. Students will be provided a PDF tutorial and a list of resources after the class.
