Printing on Fabric

8/17

In this workshop, we'll learn the art of block printing on textiles. After a little discussion about how to carve and how your image will transfer, we get right into carving and printing!

A quick carve "Block" and all tools are provided, as well as a bandanna and some textile samples to try. Come with a few images you might want to carve, no more than 2.5" square. Simple designs work best, and having a few options to choose from will be helpful. If you're a fast carver, you can work on more than one block design.

You are welcome to bring your own materials to print on as well. Make sure fabrics are prewashed and ironed. You'll leave with your 2.5" square block, so you can continue printing on your own!
