Emily Clarke has enjoyed photography since taking a class in high school. She did her first photo project as an adult in 2013, posting a year of daily sky-themed photos under the title "Looking Up." That started an ongoing practice of using photography to shift her focus and seek out beauty and awe in ordinary places. Emily has had photos in the Adams County Arts Council juried art show and the Art Association of Harrisburg's annual juried show. She and her son, the painter Gabe Clarke, had a joint show at the Adams County Arts Council, and her show "Rodanthe, Leaving" hung at the Ragged Edge last year. Emily is a fundraiser for Johns Hopkins and is pursuing a master's in clinical mental health counseling. She lives with her husband Ian in Gettysburg. Her mom is her biggest fan.
