Wanted, The Intro
My name is Zander. I am a 20 year old mostly visual artist working out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I have been seriously painting, drawing, and sculpting for the past three years. My style is representational at its core with heavy influences from history, family, and modern painters alike.
For my first solo exhibition I wanted to reflect on events and choices in my life that pushed me to pursue art. The paintings are a sort of homage to the strangeness of rural Pennsylvania while growing up. A mess of abstraction is eventually made into something recognizable, just as most people are when coming of age.
