Chris Lauer is a multi modal creator who approaches each show as a complete 180 from the last. The Founder of Waldo’s and Company, Lauer is able to use the resources of the Waldo’s Tradeshop to produce work in new mediums every year. This exhibit takes a deep dive into high detail full color process printmaking and shows the incredible depth and detail that the medium can achieve.

Lauer has always had a love affair with process. The piece in the gallery is just the final stage in an evolution of learning, trying, failing, and winning. There is an untold story of inspiration and skills development that lead up to these moments.

Once photos from his travels, these images were deconstructed into four process colors and reassembled with ink by hand to emphasize how beautiful craft can be. You are invited to come close, inspect, and see the full story leading up to the work on the wall.
